Keyohwhuduchun Petra A'Huille

On December 3, 2022, Petra A’Huille was formally honored in a broadcast ceremony attended by Keyoh Holders, dignitaries, and supporters. This historic event marked the continuation of an unbroken lineage of leadership that reflects the strength and resilience of Dakelh law and Keyoh governance.

The lineage of the Maiyoo Keyohwuduchun includes:

• Sidoman Hahul (George A’Huille) – early to late 1800s

• Kumdiel (Jimmy A’Huille) – 1856–1918

• Pious Benoit A’Huille – 1873–1935

• Pius A’Huille – 1905–1973

• Sally A’Huille (Sally Sam) – until 2020

• Petra A’Huille – present

This ceremony not only honored Petra as the current Keyohwuduchun, but also reaffirmed the continuity of ancestral stewardship and the Society’s ongoing commit
