Our
Projects

The Maiyoo Keyoh Society carries forward projects that protect our ancestral lands, strengthen our governance under Dakelh law, and celebrate our cultural heritage. Each initiative—whether focused on resource management, research, or cultural repatriation—honours our ancestors while shaping a sustainable future for generations to come.

Honouring Our Healing

The Susk’uz Headdress was worn on ceremonial occasions by the Keyohwuduchun (Chiefs) of Maiyoo Keyoh. Under Dakelh law, the land of central British Columbia is divided into Keyohs—ancestral family territories that carry deep cultural and spiritual meaning.

Welcoming signage for our Keyoh

Recognizing the importance of our Keyoh, thanks to Vancouver Foundation's Indigenous Priorities Granting Program, we are working on welcoming signage for our Keyoh.
