Director

Fraswe Munroe is a director of the Maiyoo Keyoh Society, elected by the Snadneke (customary assembly) at the Society’s 23rd Annual General Assembly on December 27, 2025.

HisStory

Raised on the Keyoh, Fraswe learned Keyoh knowledge from his grandmother, the late Keyohwhuduchun of the Maiyoo Keyoh, Sally A’Huille. He continues to spend long stretches on the land—often weeks or months at a time—hunting, trapping, and fishing, even when others aren’t around.

Fraswe completed Grade 12, began a plumbing apprenticeship, and is currently employed with Hampton Forest Products. He holds several heavy‑equipment operator certificates, a Drones Business Certificate from the First Nations Technology Council, and a Wildfire Certificate through SASET. He also served two years as a firefighter, adding critical emergency response experience to his skillset.

His hands‑on expertise and deep cultural grounding strengthen the Society’s work to uphold Dakelh law and care for the land, inspiring younger members to carry Keyoh values forward.
